Salmon and Trout Conservation

  • 7th August 20198th August 2019
  • by Daniel Lewis

As you may already know, we are now members of the Salmon and Trout Conservation. They are the UK’s only independent charity campaigning for wild fish and their environment. Their goal is for UK waters that support abundant and sustainable populations of wild fish and all other water-dependent wildlife. Members should receive more information about this via email. We hope to keep working with this amazing charity in the future!

” Too much water is being taken out of our rivers, too much is being thrown into them and not enough is being done to protect our watery places – it’s our job to reverse this trend. We work to influence government policy, industrial practice and individual behavior which results in measurable improvements to the state of the water environment, leading to healthier wild fish stocks, improved biodiversity and less pollution in our rivers, lakes and oceans.

We aim to inspire, inform, involve and influence everyone who can take action to safeguard our water environments. Protecting and standing up for life under the surface is a cause worth fighting for, both for current and future generations. ”
