River Taff
Daniel Popp fished the lower River Taff fishing the exchange ticket with Glamorgan Anglers on 25/10/15. Daniel was fly fishing for Grayling with vario​u​s weighted nymphs fished up river. Daniel managed to catch over 20 ​G​rayling between 4 inches to 1 1/2lbs.

Cyfarthfa Lake
Owen Thomas fished Cyfarthfa Lake on 23/10/15. Owen was fishing a two rod setup with a ​rod rig and coconut cream and orange flavored boilies as hook bait. After a long wait Owen was rewarded with one of the resident koi carp and a stunning 16/17lb common carp.owen thomas 16-17lb common carp

Luke Astley fished Cyfarthfa Lake on 18/10/15. Luke was fishing a two rod set up on the bottom with boiles as hook bait. Luke had a very productive day by catching several carp (mirror and common) up to 6lb.
General Announcements

The Annual General Meeting to be held at the Ex-Servicemans Club Lower High Street Merthyr Tydfil at 7pm on 11th November 2015. All members are welcome to attend, part of the Agenda will be the opening of Middle Pond to day tickets, barbless hooks to be used when coarse fishing this includes all our waters and when fishing for carp and pike as​ ​wel​l​ as many other topics.
With American Signal Cray fish in Cyfarthfa park can all members and day ticket holders that use landing nets on the lake please clean and dry all nets before fishing any other venues to prevent the spread of American Signal Cray fish and the potential of spreading any other invasive species such killer shrimp and top mouth Gudgeon.
