River Taff/Usk
The river fished well last week after the sudden burst of rain, with many anglers recording good catches of trout. With the heavy rain we have had over the weekend we should get some good sport between now and the end of the trout season on 30th September. It also augers well for the salmon fishermen on the Usk, as high water, means that the salmon will be running the river to spawn. Please return any red salmon, or if you have been lucky enough to already have one for the table please return your catches to protect future stock.
